Frequently Asked Questions

How do I restore my data if I reinstall the app? Aurelian stores all data locally on your device. If you delete the app, your journal entries and progress will be lost. Back up your device via iCloud before reinstalling.

Is there a subscription? No. Aurelian is a one-time $4.99 purchase. You pay once and own it forever—no subscriptions, no upsells, no hidden fees.

Does Aurelian collect my personal data? No. Aurelian collects zero personal data. Your journal entries, mood logs, and preferences are stored exclusively on your device and never transmitted anywhere.

How do I change my notification times? Open the app → Settings → adjust your morning and evening reminder times.

How do I switch between Parchment and Obsidian themes? Open the app → Settings → Theme → toggle between Parchment and Obsidian.

How do streaks work? Your streak increases each day you complete at least one practice—journal entry, breathing exercise, or meditation. If you miss more than 48 hours, your streak resets.

How do I filter quotes by philosopher? Open the Library tab → Philosophers → tap any philosopher → tap "Practice with [Name]'s teachings." A banner will appear on your Today screen showing whose quotes you're viewing. Tap the ✕ to clear the filter.

The app crashed or something isn't working. Email us at the address below with a brief description of the issue, your iPhone model, and iOS version. We respond within 48 hours.

Aurelian does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. All journal entries, preferences, streak data, and usage information are stored exclusively on your device using Apple's local storage. Nothing is shared with any third party. No account is required.
